Our third annual Barleycorn match is on again. Lets get the competitive spirit going and win some prizes as we match up against the Barleycorn bowlers. Create your own Team of 4 or Selectors will put you in a Team on the night. Sign up on the list under the Notice Board. NOTE: Maximum 12 Teams of 4 including the 4 teams from Barleycorn. Bowling to commence at 7.30 (PLEASE arrive 7.15pm) with a light supper and drinks to follow at 9 - 9.30pm. Prizes to be awarded to best Barleycorn and NBBC Teams.  Cost - $15/head which includes food, prizes and GreenFee. Payable on the night.

Back to Basics sessions are an opportunity for newer players to practice their newly learned skills at the table in a supportive and educational environment. Players can ask questions about bidding and card play. Discussions can be for the table or just for you. You might even like to play a hand in one contract, and then re-play it in another contract to see how it plays out. We provide experienced mentors. You do not need a partner. We build tables of 4 as people arrive. Please purchase your tickets, save your email with attached tickets and show them at the door on arrival.

Dear Member It's that time of the year when all members and partners have a rest from bowls, bridge and the other activities of the club and get together to celebrate Christmas at our annual NBBC Christmas Party.  When:  Friday 12th December Time:   6pm for a 6.30 sit down The Meal: Spitting Image Catering have been engaged and will have a selection of roast meats, salads and vegetables plus a variety of desserts. The North Balwyn Bowls Club Board thanks all the Bridge members for their continued support and contribution to activities for the club.  The Board extends a warm invite to all NBBC Members and Bridge players to The Bridge Christmas ~ Lunch and Bridge ~ event on Thursday 4th December 11.30-4pm.  Lunch 12-1.30, and Bridge 1.30-4.00 are provided free of charge. Drinks will be available for purchase from the bar.  We will cater for vegetarians, gluten free and we are trying to cater for vegans. This event has now reached maximum attendances for both lunch & bridge, and is now closed. Please register by clicking on the "Get Tickets" button.  We need to know who is coming to lunch(for catering purposes, with a limit of 140 meals) and who is playing Bridge(we have a limit of 132 seats).  Buy one of each ticket if you are participating in both activites, or just buy the lunch or Bridge ticket if you are only doing that activity. We have asked for the names of ticket holders so we can assess any duplicates. You do not need to print & present a ticket to enter the Event.
