Beginner Classes

Registrations for the March 2025 class have closed.  Registrations are open for our ~Sept 2025 class.

General Information

The Lessons run over 8 weeks.  The Lessons are introductory and will cover basic bidding theory in Standard American.  The lessons will be delivered by arguably this country’s most well-known and experienced beginner's Bridge teacher and author, Mary Elson.  A resource / reference booklet is included in your lesson fee.

• DATES:         Wednesday evenings
• TIME:            7:30PM – 9:30PM approximately
• VENUE:        North Balwyn Bowls Club, 60 Buchanan Avenue, North Balwyn
• COST:           8 lessons $125, payable on first night, by card only, non-refundable
• REGISTER:  Register for our next series (Sept 2025) using our online form.

To provide a quality program we limit the class size.

After the completion of the Beginner Classes there are 2 x Wednesday night sessions of supervised play 7:30-9:30pm.  You are welcome to join our club to continue practising your new skills. There are several options for learning and playing, such as Back to Basics twice a week, and Duplicate sessions twice a week. The cost of an annual Social membership (Bridge) is $80.00.
