Craft

We are a friendly group that meets 9.30am – 12.30pm on the second Monday of the month to share our talents with one another over a cup of tea/coffee.  Sometimes we will have demonstrations or projects you can participate in, if you wish.  To make an enquiry please email the club.

April News

We had a morning tea at Ekko Mitchell’s house so the Probus Group could have their Annual General Meeting at the Club.

Our NEXT MEETING is 9.30am on Monday, 11th May, 2026.   Anna Sinclair is going to show us how to make cards with our offcuts.    This card can be made into any type of card: Baby Card, Birthday Card, Thank you Card etc.   Bring along your offcuts, recycle old cards, pretty tissue boxes or T2 pretty cardboard boxes.

Come along and bring your UFO’S (Unfinished Projects) or just enjoy the friendship of like-minded people over a cuppa.

KOGO Challenge 2026

The Kogo Challenge is on again.    Please leave your donations in the box at the Club by Tuesday, 1st September, 2026.

Squares will to be made into cot blankets and adults blankets.  If you need wool,  we do have 8 Ply yarn we can provide. If you have wool at home, it doesn’t matter what colour you use; Stripes, Multi-colour or Plain are all acceptable.

The guidelines for knitters:

  • 8 Ply Wool
  • Garter Stitch – (Knit every row)
  • Square must measure 20cm x 20cm, so check your tension. Generally, 40 stitches on either 4mm or 4.5mm Needles (for tighter knitters) will give this measurement.
  • All ends must be sewn in

If you have any questions please speak to Betty Collins or Therese James (Bridge), Bev Brown or Gayle Slessar (Bowls) or Lois Staunton (Craft) – Mobile: 0417 164377
