Officiating and Coaching Courses

To all NBBC Bowlers - Are You Interested in becoming a Lawn Bowls umpire and/or coach? 

We need you!  This year, for Midweek Pennant at home games our Club may not be able to provide accredited officials every week, and so, new recruits are needed.  Detailed information for both Officiating and Coaching courses can be found on the Bowls Victoria web site under the Club Assist Tab.  Training in these roles would be provided as Bowls Victoria run courses for Officiating and Coaching as summarized below.

Officiating

The three components for Officiating are Marker Module, Measurer Module and National Umpire Module.  You can do just the Marker and/or Measurer Module or for Umpires you do Marker, Measurer and Umpire Modules.  For all three Modules you can do either a Combination of On-Line learning and On-Green training and Assessment, or Face-to-Face sessions for all three Modules.  

Coaching

The introductory coaching sessions involve On-Line learning and On-Green training sessions.  If you are interested, please contact me (Terry) for a chat and I can provide verbally what’s involved in gaining the above accreditations. Bruce Hexter can also provide more information regarding coaching.
