Introduction
We have secured another excellent deal with Mantra Lorne for our annual weekend away. Mantra Lorne are looking forward to seeing us. The dates for 2026 are Friday 31 July - Sunday 2 August. There is no increase on room prices from last year.
If you are new to our club - come along! We would love to see you and you can enjoy a weekend in seaside Lorne with friends. All members, their partners and friends are welcome. You don’t have to play Bowls or Bridge, there is plenty to do - see below.
Book for the weekend
There are 2 stages in the registration process - an Expressions of Interest stage and then an Accommodation Booking stage.
- The EOI is not a commitment to attend. It allows us to gauge numbers at an early time, and Mantra reserves a set of rooms based on the numbers. The EOI is now closed.
- The Accommodation Booking stage is a commitment to attend. Please follow this link to the Accommodation Request form. We collate all requests and forward them to Mantra. Mantra reserves your room, then they call you 2 or 3 days before you arrive, to take payment. Don't worry if you didn't fill in the EOI, you can still come by filling out the Accommodation Request form.

Package costs include accommodation, breakfasts, finger food (entrée) and dinner for the 2 days, for each person in your room.
Additional costs will be Happy hour drinks (at happy hour prices), and Bowls and Bridge fees.
All rooms have tea and coffee facilities, iron, TV, internet access.
Happy Hour
Happy Hour is from 5 - 6pm on both nights, with exceptional finger food that is treated as your entrée - held in the foyer.
Drinks list – Bancroft House Red, White wine, Champagne $7 per glass & $35 per bottle. Furphy original/ crisp lager stubbies $8, house spirits $9. The bar is credit card only.
Meals
Dinner is from 6 - 7pm on both nights. There are alternating meals, served with 2 side dishes. *see happy hour for entrée. Dietary requirements can be catered for. There will be different meals on the two nights.
Activities
Bridge
The room cost for bridge (TBC) will be shared by bridge players over the 2 days.
Hot tea, coffee & goodies provided. There will be 4 sessions on:
- Friday afternoon & evening and
- Saturday afternoon & evening
Bridge players are welcome to attend any (or all) of these sessions.
We will try to finish the evening sessions by 9.30 pm.
Bowls
Bowls will be played at the Lorne Bowls Club on the grounds of Mantra. We will play one game on Friday afternoon & one game on Saturday. Cost & times TBC. Their green is playing similar to our own.
Social get-togethers
During the evening, Non Bridge players can gather in the bar in front of the fire, enjoy company and/or watch the football.
Around Lorne
There are lots of things to do at Lorne - stroll to the pier, visit Erskine Falls, play tennis, lots of shopping and coffee places and some good easy walks, and also Mantra has a heated indoor swimming pool and a 9 hole putting green.
